MAIL ART – While at Maidstone from 1973-75 I developed a Mail Art project called Artcon- The Agency of Art Ideas. Writing to friends and colleagues and artists, inviting them to mail us small art works via the post. The most significant correspondent was John Baldessari who I met a few times at the Jack Wendler Galley in London and who sent me a number of works and correspondence, examples of which are below.
In 1978 I curated a large video exhibition, Video Art 78 at the Herbert Museum Coventry including a new of video installations and screenings. One of the invited artists was Bill Viola who wrote and proposed a new work.
